A section of the Wilkins ice shelf, which covers an area of 14,000 square kilometers and is located on the Antarctic Peninsula has started to come away from the Wilkins Ice Shelf in the Antarctic Peninsula as a result of “global warming”, has reported a group of researchers from the Centre for Scientific Research (CSIC) Spanish. The group has found that 25% of the huge plate has been fragmented and huge icebergs can be seen scattered throughout the Southern Ocean.

Turbine methane powered rocket

NASA recently tested a new rocket-powered turbine for methane, which could become the key technology for future exploration of the outer solar system.
The main turbine, built and tested by the team of NASA contractors, Alliant Techsystems and XCOR Aerospace, is still under development and, therefore, is not ready yet to be carried into space. But if you can show that this technology is viable, the turbines like this one powered by natural gas could eventually be key to deep space exploration.

Underwater robot with a sense of touch

The robot is immersed in the sea, navigate to the submarine cable and make the repairs accurate, but the operator who manages the robot is easy. It is a dark subject and the light of the robot does not help much. In addition, the currents push the robot off the work area.
In the future, the robot may find itself the way to the point where you have to act. A sensor will provide you with the sense of touch and help you get oriented in their underwater environment autonomously.

The amphibian that was raised by climate change 300 million years ago

Climate change that occurred 300 million years ago favored the emergence and spread of an amphibian terrestrial carnivore has been dubbed “Fedexia striegeli ‘, according to research published this week’ Annals of Carnegie Museum.”

The animal has been discovered in Pennsylvania (USA) and is part of an extinct group of amphibians called ‘Trematopidae‘, which inhabited the earth 70 million years before the first dinosaurs.
